Over the last decade, Alice O'Malley has collaborated with scores of downtown New York artists to create a black-and-white archive of and for those who inhabit the peripheries. O'Malley's first monograph, Community of Elsewheres, was published in conjunction with a solo exhibition by the same name. Her photographs have appeared in various publications including Art in America, I-D Magazine, Vogue and The New York Times Magazine and have been collected by individuals and institutions.
