Ève K Tremblay was born in Quebec, CA. She studied French literature at the Université de Montréal and theatre at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater in New York and received her BFA from Concordia University. Her work is mainly inspired by literature and science. Through photographs, videos, installations, performances texts, and collages, consciousness is examined from a poetic point of view. Recent exhibitions include Le Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec, Le Musée d'Art Contemporain de Montreal, Kunstverein Wolfsburg, Musée d'art Contemporain du Val-de-Marne, Prague Biennale 5, Pierogi Leipzig, Bergen Kunsthall, Tromso Kunstverein, Lautom Contemporary, Oslo, Locust Project, Miami and in NewYork at Buia, Jack Shainman, The Waterpod, Galerie Stoyanov, Exit Art, and The Richard J. Massey Foundation for the Arts and Sciences in New York City. Publications include The New York Times, Art Forum Critic Picks, Canadian Art Magazine. Tremblay has received several grants from the Canada Art Council and Le Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and in 2012 was nominated to represent Québec for the Sobey Art award.
