Heather M. O'Brien (b. Boulder, CO) is a multi-media artist currently living and working in Los Angeles, CA. She holds a BA from Loyola University New Orleans and an Advanced Certificate from the International Center of Photography in New York. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Photography & Media at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA. Her work unpacks and re-contextualizes various social and political issues in the United States, including subjects ranging from housing, labor, the prison system, and the media. She is a founding member of the Work Progress Collective (www.workprogresscollective.org).
