Larry Fink had an unusual impulse to begin photographing people when he was 13; at the age of 17 he studied with Lisette Model, and at the age of 20 he studied briefly with Alexey Brodovitch. He has been teaching for 45 years and is currently a Professor of Photography at Bard College. He has had solo shows at the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and many others. He has nine monographs whose subjects range from insects to socialites. A copy of Fink’s book The Vanities is included with this print.
