J Carrier (b. 1974, Biloxi, Mississippi) spent most of the past decade living and working in Africa and the Middle East. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York with his wife Olivia and twin babies. He has an MFA in photography from the Hartford Art School.

 

Elementary Calculus was selected for inclusion in the 2013 ICP triennial and J was nominated for the 2012 John Gutmann Photography Fellowship and the 2011 Santa Fe Prize for photography.
