Jorge Alberto Perez is a Cuban-born artist and writer currently living and working in New York City, New York.

Having earned his MFA from Bard College/International Center of Photography, he works in a variety of media including, but not limited to, photography, collage, installation and writing.  In his work, Perez questions the truthfulness of the image within the economy of desire in visual culture.
