I’ve studied art since early childhood, attending the Art Student’s League as well as numerous university art courses. After high school, I attended the Philadelphia College of Art, studying with Raphael Ferrer, Ree Morton and Cynthia Carlson. For several decades I was a sculptor, performance and installation artist exhibiting widely in museums and galleries all over the country. My work is in many public and private collections. For 10 years, I exhibited with the Robert Freidus Gallery in NYC and showed alongside many photo artists including Larry Clark, Lee Friedlander, Jim Dow, Robert Fichter, Danny Lyon and E.J. Bellocq.
I began doing photography about 10 years ago, at first just for fun, but it quickly became a passion. I have shown extensively, have received many international awards, and have had a book of my work published by Goliath Books. My photos have been selected by curators such as Andres Serrano and Judy Dater for exhibition, as well as appearing in many photo books. My photographs have been purchased by hundreds of collectors all over the world.
Over the years, I have lectured about my work in museums and universities and have been a visiting artist/ professor at The State University of New York and Florida State University.
