Noah David Bau is an American visual artist who divides his time between Bangkok and Boston. Mr. Bau graduated from Amherst College as an Independent Scholar in Photography and Sexual Politics. He received his graduate education at the California Institute of the Arts and Stanford University. In the past year, his photographs have been exhibited at the Danforth Art Museum, the Houston Center for Photography, the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, and the North Carolina Museum of Art. His work was featured at the GuatePhoto International Photo Festival in Guatemala City and the New York Photo Festival. Mr. Bau received the Best in Show Legacy Award at the Griffin Museum of Photography’s “18th Annual Juried Exhibition,” and was the First Prize Winner of the Soho Photo Gallery’s “National Competition.” In addition, he was selected as a 2012 Critical Mass Top 50 Finalist, a winner in the Vienna International Photo Awards, and a winner of PDN’s “The Curator.” Mr. Bau’s work is in the permanent collections of the University of Maine Museum of Art, the Center for Fine Art Photography, Minot State University, and the Kinsey Institute.
