Robin Graubard was born, lives and works in New York City.  Her exhibition history includes “Incomplete” White Columns (2011), “New Age End of the World” Taxter & Spengemann (2011), “The Hold Up”, Participant Inc (2010),  â€œLush Life, curated by Franklin Evans and Omar Lopez-Chahoud (2010), “50 Artists Photograph the Future” Higher Pictures (2010), “Presumed Innocence” DeCordova Museum (2008), “Noise: Young American Photography” TH-Inside Milan and Berlin (2007), She is a recipient of The Rema Hort Mann Foundation grant and has been nominated for two Pulitzer prizes.  Her photographs have been published in The New York Times, Paris Match, The Guardian, Time, Newsweek, Der Spiegel, Die Welt,  The New York Post and others.  

 

Usual themes and interests in her work are social + economic class analysis, teenage, criminal psychology and displaced individuals. She is interested in the edges between documentary and autobiography.  She grew up watching film noir and it’s inherent in her work.
