Jesse is a photographer and curator, most recently arranging photo-based public art exhibitions in Manhattan.  After receiving a B.F.A. from the School of Visual arts, he developed a Photo-Journalism and Art Photography class at the top After School program in New York City.  This photograph, taken near the school in the Lower East Side, is part of a series done in the final week of that year.  During those last days he was finally able to play the role of photographer himself, drawing on his relationships with the students to make portraits in a natural, familiar environment.
